the form and tenor of such bonds; the date of issue; the date or dates
of maturity; and the time and place at which interest is to be paid.
All of such bonds and the interest payable thereon shall be and remain
exempt from taxation by the State of Maryland and by the counties
and municipalities of the State. The said bonds shall bear a rate of
interest not exceeding five percentum (5%) per annum, and shall be
of such denomination or denominations, callable or non-callable, and
of such type or form, and of such period of maturity as the County
Commissioners of Allegany County may deem advisable. If any such
bonds be sold, the provisions of Sections 10 and 11 of Article 31 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended from
time to time) shall be complied with. Any of the proceeds of said
bonds remaining after the acquisition of said sum of Seven Hundred
and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) shall be applicable to all
expenses in connection with said bond issue and otherwise be for
the use of the County Commissioners of Allegany County.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That until all of the bonds issued
under this Act have matured and have been paid, the County Com-
missioners of Allegany County shall annually levy a tax upon the
assessable property of Allegany County sufficient to pay the interest
on the bonds outstanding and the principal of the bonds maturing
during the succeeding year.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
ervation of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 323)
AN ACT to add new Section 534D to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title
"Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Sabbath Breaking," to fol-
low immediately after Section 534C, providing for the legal opera-
tion of bowling alleys, tenpin alleys, or duckpin alleys on Sundays
between 1:00 P.M. and 11:30 P.M. in Dorchester County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 534D be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supple-
ment), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Sabbath Breaking,"
to follow immediately after Section 534C, and to read as follows:
534D.
Nothing contained in Sections 492 and 522 of this article shall be
construed to prohibit or make unlawful the operation within the
boundaries of Dorchester County of any bowling alley, tenpin alley
