(Senate Bill 301)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 73 of
Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "Fire Companies", as
last amended by Chapter 387 of the Acts of 1957, to increase the
annual appropriations by St. Mary's County to rescue squads in
the County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 73 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "Fire
Companies", as last amended by Chapter 387 of the Acts of 1957, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

73.

The County Commissioners are hereby authorized to pay annually
from the general county funds, a sum not to exceed [Seven Hundred
Dollars each ($700)] fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) each, to so
many of the active rescue squads in St. Mary's County as they shall
determine.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments Section 19 of
Article 59 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement),
title "Lunatics and Insane," subtitle "Department of Mental Hy-
giene," providing that Henryton State Hospital shall be a hospital
under the control of the Department of Mental Hygiene, making
general provision for its transfer to the Department of Mental
Hygiene from the State Department of Health, and relating gen-
erally to the control, operation, personnel, and functions of Henry-
ton State Hospital.
