I, Lloyd L. Simpkins, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition,) Do
Hereby Certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 6, 1962, an Act known as Chapter 696 of the
Acts of 1961, was submitted to the voters of Harford County under
the provisions of Chapter 696 of the Acts of 1961, said Act being as
follows:
"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19
(n) and 20 (n) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1960 Supplement), title 'Alcoholic Beverages,'
subtitle, 'Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses'; and to add new
Sections 19 (f-1) and 20 (h-½) to said Article and subtitle
(1957 Edition), to follow respectively after Sections 19 (f)
and 20 (h) thereof, providing for the issue of certain beer,
wine and liquor licenses to certain hotels, restaurants and
clubs in Harford County, regulating and providing for the
conditions for the issue and maintenance of such licenses and
for the conduct of any such hotel, restaurant or club and
relating generally to the sale of alcoholic beverages in hotels,
restaurants and clubs in Harford County and providing for a
referendum thereon."
and I do certify that at said election 6,710 votes were cast in
favor of adoption of Chapter 696 of the Acts of 1961 and 4,234 votes
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 696 of the Acts of 1961,
the said Act has therefore been ratified by a majority of the qualified
voters of Harford County.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my

Annapolis this 1st day of December, 1962.
