JOINT RESOLUTIONS
No. 1
(House Joint Resolution 1)
House Joint Resolution urging the Congress of the United States to
enact legislation to prescribe what time shall be the legal time
within the eastern time zone of the United States.
Whereas, The State of Maryland endorses the proposal of the
Commonwealth of Virginia to have the Congress of the United

Congress of the United States to enact legislation to prescribe what
time shall be the legal time within the eastern time zone of the United
States; and be it further
Resolved, That copies of this Resolution be sent to Senators Beall
and Brewster, and to Representatives Fallon, Friedel, Garmatz,
Lankford, Long, Mathias, Morton and Sickles.
Approved February 26, 1963.
