jection or modification of any such application for a license shall
be final.
(A) A BOARD OF AMUSEMENT LICENSE COMMISSION-
ERS OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY IS HEREBY CREATED.
THE GOVERNOR, BIENNIALLY, BY AND WITH THE ADVICE
AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE, IF IN SESSION, AND IF
NOT IN SESSION, THEN THE GOVERNOR ALONE, SHALL
APPOINT THREE PERSONS WHO SHALL CONSTITUTE THE
SAID BOARD. IN MAKING SAID APPOINTMENTS, THE GOV-
ERNOR SHALL DESIGNATE ONE OF THE APPOINTEES TO
BE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD. SAID BOARD MEMBERS
SHALL BE RESIDENTS AND VOTERS OF ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY. THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT THE THREE
BOARD MEMBERS FROM A LIST OF FIVE NAMES TO BE
SUBMITTED TO THE GOVERNOR BY A COMMITTEE OF
FOUR COMPOSED OF THE STATE SENATOR FROM ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE ANNE ARUN-
DEL COUNTY DELEGATION IN THE HOUSE OF DELE-
GATES, THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION, AND A MEMBER OF THE ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION TO BE CHOSEN BY
THE SAID ASSOCIATION. IN THE CASE OF ANY VACANCIES
IN THE NUMBER OF SAID BOARD MEMBERS, OCCURRING
WHEN THE LEGISLATURE IS NOT IN SESSION, THE GOV-
ERNOR SHALL APPOINT SOME ELIGIBLE PERSON TO FILL
THE VACANCY DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE TERM
OF OFFICE OF THE PERSON ORIGINALLY APPOINTED.
(B) THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD
OF AMUSEMENT LICENSE COMMISSIONERS, HEREBY CRE-
ATED, SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS: THE CHAIRMAN, EIGHT
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($800.00) PER YEAR; THE OTHER
BOARD MEMBERS, SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS
($750.00) PER YEAR. THE SAID SALARIES SHALL BE PAID
FROM THE PROCEEDS RECEIVED FOR LICENSES ISSUED
UNDER THIS CHAPTER. THE BOARD SHALL ALSO HAVE
THE POWER AND AUTHORITY TO APPOINT A SECRETARY
AND SUCH OTHER NECESSARY EMPLOYEES AS IT DEEMS
NECESSARY, AND DESIGNATE SALARIES TO BE PAID TO
SUCH EMPLOYEES. THE SALARY OF ANY SECRETARY
APPOINTED HEREUNDER SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN
$3,120.00 ANNUALLY, AND THE SALARY OF ANY INSPEC-
TOR APPOINTED HEREUNDER SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN
$5,200.00 ANNUALLY.
(C) THE BOARD OF AMUSEMENT LICENSE COMMIS-
SIONERS, OR THE PERSON OR PERSONS APPOINTED BY
SUCH BOARD FOR THIS PURPOSE, SHALL EXAMINE ALL
APPLICANTS FOR LICENSES ISSUED UNDER THE AUTHOR-
ITY OF THIS CHAPTER, AND SHALL EXAMINE ALL PLACES
IN WHICH SUCH PROPOSED LICENSED EVENT OR BUSI-
NESS IS TO BE OPERATED. THE BOARD, IN ITS DISCRE-
TION, SHALL HAVE THE POWER TO APPOINT A PERSON
OR PERSONS TO EXERCISE THE AUTHORITY CONFERRED
ON THE BOARD BY THIS SECTION. IF THE BOARD OR PER-
SON OR PERSONS APPOINTED BY THE BOARD FOR THIS
