217-0 thereof, and to be under the new sub title "Trailers", Sec-
tion 217-0 having been added by Chapter 595 594 of the Acts of
1959; and to add new Section 158 (j-1) to Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Bever-
ages", sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners", to follow
immediately after Section 158 (j) thereof, establishing the office
of county inspector of St. Mary's County, providing for the ap-
pointment, tenure, compensation, powers and duties of the county
inspector, charging him with the duties of inspection in the county
respecting taxicabs, building permits, trailers and trailer camps
and alcoholic beverages, abolishing with certain transitory provi-
sions the offices, positions and salaries of the inspectors whose
duties the county inspector assumes, and relating generally to the
county inspector.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 125, 126 and 127 be and they are hereby added
to Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "St. Mary's County", to follow immediately after
Section 124 thereof, and to be under the new sub-title "Office of
County Inspector", which sections were repealed by Chapter 501 of
the Acts of 1947; and that Sections 212 and 220 of said Article 19,
sub-titles respectively "Taxicabs", and "Zoning", be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, Section 212 hav-
ing been added by Chapter 419 of the Acts of 1957, LAST AMEND-
ED BY CHAPTER 334 OF THE ACTS OF 1961 and Section 220
having been last amended by Chapter 438 of the Acts of 1959; and
that new Section 217P be and it is hereby added to said Article 19,
SUB-TITLE "TRAILERS", to follow immediately after Section
217-0 thereof, and to be under the new sub title "Trailers", Section
217-0 having been added by Chapter 595 594 of the Acts of 1959;
and that new Section 158 (j-1) be and it is hereby added to Article
2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alco-
holic Beverages", sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners", to
follow immediately after Section 158 (j) thereof, and all to read as
follows:
Office of County Inspector
125. There is established the Office of County Inspector of St.
Mary's County. The county inspector shall be appointed by the
county commissioners, serve at their pleasure and receive such com-
pensation as the county commissioners shall determine. He shall be
a full time employee of the county. The county inspector may
appoint, with the approval of the county commissioners, such assist-
ants as may be required. The county commissioners shall provide
the county inspector with sufficient office space, necessary supplies
and equipment.
126.
The county inspector shall maintain complete and accurate records
of the business of his office and shall keep a full and detailed account
of all monies received, disbursed or otherwise handled by the office
of county inspector. He shall submit annually to the county commis-
sioners a written report covering the activities of the office and such
other reports as the commissioners may from time to time require.
