Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 881
(Senate Bill 605)

AN ACT to add new Sections 225B to 225T, inclusive, to Article 18
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Queen Anne's County", to be under the new sub-title "Elec-
trical Examiners", to follow immediately after Section 225A there-
of, as added by Chapter 664 of the Acts of 1957, relating to the
creation, appointment and powers of a Board of Electrical Exam-
iners of Queen Anne's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 225B to 225T, inclusive, be and they are hereby
added to Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", to be under the new
sub-title "Electrical Examiners", to follow immediately after Section
225A thereof, as added by Chapter 664 of the Acts of 1957, and to
read as follows:

225B. The Board of County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County shall appoint a Board and in which event the provisions of
this sub-title shall then become effective; which Board shall be
known as the Board of Electrical Examiners of Queen Anne's
County, and, which shall consist of three persons, for the purpose of
examining into the qualifications and capabilities of all persons who
are engaged, or desire to engage, in the business of Master Electri-
cians as defined in this sub-title. The Board so appointed shall con-
sist of the Chief of one of the Queen Anne's County volunteer fire
companies who, shall serve for a one-year term and two competent,
practical electricians of Queen Anne's County, who shall be selected
from a list of four names recommended to the Board of County
Commissioners by the Queen Anne's County Electrical Contractors
Association and who shall serve for two-year terms; provided, how-
ever, that one of the two initial appointments of the electricians
shall be for a term of one year and thereafter for a term of two
years. If any vacancy occurs for any cause during the term of any
Board as herein provided for, the Board of County Commissioners
shall fill the vacancy from a list of two names recommended by said
Queen Anne's County Electrical Contractors Association. The Board
of County Commissioners shall have full power to remove any mem-
ber of the Board for incompetency or improper conduct by satisfac-
tory evidence being presented to it of such condition. The term of
office of the members of said Board shall be for one year.

225C. The members of said Board shall respectively take and
subscribe the oath required by other State officers. They shall have
power to elect from among their own number a President, Secretary
and Treasurer, and to adopt such rules and by-laws for the trans-
action of the business of the Board as they may deem expedient and
proper.
