fund for any expenses he may be put to in conveying the said
prisoners to and from such farm or other similar place, or in
properly guarding the said prisoners while performing such farm
labor under such regulations as the sheriff or other officer may deem
necessary for their health and safe custody.
(c) "Farm labor", as used in this section shall mean the work of
rendering any agricultural service, including the threshing or har-
vesting of crops and the production of any agricultural, horticultural,
vegetable or fruit product of the soil, livestock, meats, marine food
products, eggs, dairy products, wool, nuts, honey, and every product
of farm, forest, garden, orchard or water, and any such services as
are generally regarded as incidental to and connected with farms,
dairies and the seafood industry.
(d) This section shall only apply in Anne Arundel County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to add new Section 222A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Charles County (1959 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County", to follow
immediately after Section 222 thereof and to be under the new sub-
title "Parks and Recreation", creating the Charles County Board of
Parks and Recreation, defining the membership, powers and duties
of this Board, and relating generally to the powers of the County
Commissioners of Charles County and to the Board of Parks and
Recreation with respect to the subject of parks and recreation in
that County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 222A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Charles County (1959 Edition, being Article 9
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles Coun-
ty", to follow immediately after Section 222 thereof, to be under the
new sub-title "Parks and Recreation", and to read as follows:
222A. (a) There is hereby established a Board of Parks and Rec-
reation, with powers and duties as hereinafter specified.
(b) The Board shall consist of seven members of whom one shall
be selected by the Board of Education of Charles County, one shall
be selected by the County Commissioners, one by the Physical Fit-
ness Commission, ONE BY THE CHARLES COUNTY CHAMBER
OF COMMERCE, and four by the Governor. All members of the
Board shall be appointed for four years from the first day of January
of the year of their appointments, or until their successors are ap-
pointed. The members of the Board, when first appointed, shall be
divided into three classes, two of the members being in each of two
classes and three members in a third class. The initial terms of those
