shall be "For Fire Tax" then said tax shall be levied and paid over
in accordance with the provisions of this Act, but if a majority of
votes cast shall be "Against Fire Tax," then this Act shall be of no
effect in said Election Districts, and shall be null and void.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
ervation of the public health and safety, and having been passed by
a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members elected
to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 851
(House Bill 1036)

AN ACT to add new Section 19-10 to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Baltimore County (1958 Edition), being Article 3 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Baltimore
County," subtitle "Offenses—Miscellaneous," to follow immediately
after Section 19-9 thereof, requiring an attendant to be on duty at
coin operated laundries and dry cleaning establishments when such
establishments are open for business.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 19-10 be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Baltimore County (1958 Edition), being Article
3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Baltimore County," subtitle "Offenses—Miscellaneous," to fol-
low immediately after Section 19-9 thereof, and to read as follows:

19-10.

At all times during which any coin operated laundry or dry clean-
ing establishment within the limits of the county is open for business
with the public there shall be at least one employee of said establish-
ment in attendance. The owner of any such establishment violating
this provision shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof before a justice of the peace of the county shall be fined not
less than five nor more than fifty dollars for each offense.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1. 1963.
