13.04.10.10 West Nottingham Academy. This appropriation
is contingent upon the Academy's complying
with the provisions of Chapter 86 of the Acts
of 1949.
General Fund Appropriation............................ 1,500
13.04.10.11 Western Maryland College. In return for the allow-
ance, Western Maryland College shall furnish
58 scholarships covering free tuition and board
for one male and one female student from each
Sentorial District of the State and 28 scholar-
ships covering tuition, two from each Election
District of Carroll County, as provided by Chap-
ter 279 of the Acts of 1890 and Article 77, Sec-
tions 265 to 266 of the 1957 Annotated Code.
This appropriation is contingent upon the
College's complying with the provisions of Chap-
ter 86 of the Acts of 1949.
General Fund Appropriation............................ 100,000
13.04.10.12 Hood College. In return for the allowance, Hood
College shall furnish 58 scholarships including
tuition, board and room rent for two students
from each Senatorial District of the State and
26 scholarships covering tuition only for one
student from each Election District of Frederick
County, as provided by Article 77, Sections 263
and 282 (c) of the 1957 Annotated Code. This
appropriation is contingent upon the College's
complying with the provisions of Chapter 86
of the Acts of 1949.
General Fund Appropriation............................ 100,000
13.04.10.13 Peabody Institute of the City of Baltimore. In re-
turn for the allowance, Peabody Institute of the
City of Baltimore shall furnish 35 scholarships
covering tuition only, as provided in Article 77,
Section 264 of the 1957 Annotated Code. This
appropriation is contingent upon the Institute's
complying with the provisions of Chapter 86 of
the Acts of 1949.
General Fund Appropriation............................ 35,000
13.04.10.14 Teacher Scholarships. Appropriations are to be
disbursed by the Treasury Department to
eligible colleges on transmittal from the State
Department of Education in accordance with
regulations prescribed by said State Department
of Education and the provisions of Article 77,
Section 284 of the 1957 Annotated Code. This
appropriation is contingent upon the eligible
college's complying with the provisions of Chap-
ter 86 of the Acts of 1949.
General Fund Appropriation............................ 313,500
The above appropriation includes $9,500 covering
the cost of 19 additional scholarships resulting
from the enactment of Chapter 1 of the May 25,
