AN ACT relating to the Maryland National Capital Park and Plan-
ning Commission; to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
SECTION 45 (B), (D) AND (H) OF CHAPTER 780 OF THE
ACTS OF 1959, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 851 OF THE
ACTS OF 1961, THIS ACT HAVING ENACTED THE SUB-
TITLE "PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION," BEING
AMENDMENTS TO Section 72-51 (b), (d) and (h) of the Mont-
gomery County Code, 1960 Edition, (being Article 16 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland) title "Montgomery County," subtitle
"Bi-county District Laws," subheading "Article 2. Maryland-Wash-
ington Metropolitan District," AND BEING AMENDMENTS TO
THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY (1953 EDITION), BEING ARTICLE 17 OF THE CODE
OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND, AND SAID SEC-
TION 45 BEING IN THE SUB-HEADING "METROPOLITAN
DISTRICT," AMENDING THE LAWS RELATING TO THE
MARYLAND-WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN DISTRICT,"
the purpose of this Act being to conform INCREASE, IN MONT-
GOMERY COUNTY, the tax figure which creates a limitation
on the Commission's bond issues, to the directed park tax levy
proposed as an amendment to Section 72 57 of said Code, and to
conform such proposed figure to the other tax references within
said section of said Code.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That SECTION 45 (B), (D) AND (H) OF CHAPTER 780 OF THE
ACTS OF 1959, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 851 OF THE ACTS
OF 1961, SUB-TITLE "PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION,"
BEING Section 72-51 (b), (d) and (h) of the Montgomery County
Code 1960 Edition, (being Article 16 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Montgomery County," subtitle "Bi-county District
Laws," subheading "Article 2. Maryland-Washington Metropolitan
District," AND THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY (1953 EDITION), BEING AR-
TICLE 17 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARY-
LAND, AND SAID SECTION 45 BEING IN THE SUB-HEADING
"METROPOLITAN DISTRICT," be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(b) Limitation on issue.—The total amount of such bonds out-
standing at any time shall not exceed such amount as can be
redeemed within fifty (50) years from date of issue by means of
so much of the tax or taxes of [seven cents (7¢)] ten cents (10¢)
NINE CENTS (9¢) IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY AND SEVEN
CENTS (7¢) IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY hereinafter au-
thorized, as shall be pledged to the payment of such bonds, to the
extent that said taxes are or are proposed to be levied in Mont-
gomery County or Prince George's County, or both; except that
nothing herein shall limit the right of the Commission to issue
bonds to meet the provisions of paragraphs or subsections (a)
and (b) of Section 1 of said Public Act 284, as amended, as
