Oath of Office
Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law to the contrary,
all elected County officers shall take their oath of office and assume
their official duties on the first Monday in January following their
election, at the County Seat, at the hour of 2:00 P. M.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, re-
pealing and re-enacting with amendments the following subsections
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953
Edition) and the Montgomery County Code (1960 Edition), being
Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery
County," subtitle "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," name-
ly, subsections (a), (d), (e), (f), and (j) of Section 1571 of the
said Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County and of
Section 73-56 of the said Montgomery County Code, AS SAID SEC-
TION WAS LAST AMENDED BY CHAPTERS 585 AND 670
OF THE ACTS OF 1957, the said subsections relating to the classi-
fication of property for benefit assessment purposes and to the levy
and redemption of the benefit charges.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subsections (a), (d), (e), (f), and (j) of Section 1571 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition),
being Section 73-56 of the Montgomery County Code (1960 Edition),
and being Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery
County," subtitle "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," AS
SAID SECTION WAS LAST AMENDED BY CHAPTERS 585 AND
670 OF THE ACTS OF 1957; be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(73 56). (a) The construction or acquisition of said water mains
or sewers is hereby declared to be a benefit to all property abutting
upon the same and said Commission for the purpose of assessing
benefits for the construction of water supply and sewerage systems,
shall divide all properties binding upon a street, road, lane, alley, [or]
right of way or easement, in which a water pipe or sanitary sewer is
to be laid, into [four] seven classes, namely, agricultural, small
acreage, industrial or business, [and] sub-division residential [prop-
erty], multi-unit residential, multi-unit business, and institutional.
Immediately upon the commencement or within twelve months after
