Assembly such sum as he would have received from the State of
Maryland had he lived until the end of the year in which the session
took place HE DIES.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 464E be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to follow immediately
after Section 464D thereof, as that section was added by Chapter 775
of the Acts of 1959, and to read as follows:

464E.

In the event the State Senator or a member of the House of Dele-
gates of Prince George's County dies during a session of the General
Assembly HIS OR HER TERM OF OFFICE, beginning with the
session opening in January, 1963, at which he represents Prince
George's County, the County Commissioners are authorized and di-
rected to pay to the estate SURVIVING SPOUSE of the deceased
senator or delegate such sum as will equal the amount of money he
would have received from the State of Maryland had he lived until
the end of the year in which the General Session took place HE DIED.
IF THERE BE NO SURVIVING SPOUSE SUCH SUMS SHALL
BE PAID TO HEIRS AT LAW OF THE DECEASED SENATOR
OR DELEGATE.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(House Bill 928)

AN ACT to add 11 new sections under the new subheading "Rede-
velopment—Urban Renewal" to the Charter of the City of Hyatts-
ville as this Charter is contained in the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County), title
"Prince George's County," subtitle "Hyattsville," to authorize and
empower the Mayor and City Council of Hyattsville to carry out
urban renewal projects, the redevelopment, rehabilitation of slum
or blighted areas, including the acquisition of property for such
purposes with certain provisions in regard to such acquisition by
the exercise of the power of eminent domain; declaring such activi-
ties to constitute functions in furtherance of which the Mayor and
City Council of Hyattsville may exercise the power of taxation,
spend public funds and extend public credit; granting to the Mayor
and City Council of Hyattsville certain additional powers and
authority necessary or proper to carry into full force or effect
the powers hereinabove mentioned and place certain restrictions
and limitations on certain powers granted.
