(House Bill 649)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 656 (m)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, (1953
Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Prince George's County," subtitle "Fire Com-
panies," as found in Chapter 432 of the Laws of Maryland, 1953,
deleting certain obsolete provisions of the section.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 656(m) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County,"
subtitle "Fire Companies as found in Chapter 432 of the Laws of
Maryland, 1953 be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

(m) In the 13th Election District the proceeds of said tax shall be
paid by the County Commissioners semi-annually to the Kentland
Volunteer Fire Department [so long as it is the only Fire Department
in the area. If any new Fire Departments are organized and recog-
nized by the Prince George's County Volunteer Firemen's Association
and the Board of County Commissioners jointly the tax shall then be
divided equally among existing companies.].
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 155(a)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition,
being Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Howard County," subtitle "Planning and Subdivision Con-
trol," relating to Planning Commission of Howard County, revis-
ing the definition of "subdivision" to exclude parcels in excess of
five acres.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 155(a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard
County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle "Planning and
Subdivision Control," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
155(a)
The term "subdivision" means the division of a parcel of land into
three (3) TWO (2) or more lots or parcels for the purpose of transfer
