the secretary for certain records of the Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 80 of Article 35 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Evidence," subtitle "Public Statutes, Office
Copies and Official Certificates," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
80.
(a) A copy or photostat of any books, papers, entries, records or
proceedings pertaining to the Workmen's Compensation Commission,
when certified to by the Secretary of the Workmen's Compensation
Commission or by the Chairman or any member of the Commission
as being correct, shall be received as evidence in any court of law or
equity or before any judge, justice of the peace, or other tribunal in
this State, in the same manner and to have the same effect as if the
original books, papers, entries, records or proceedings were them-
selves produced.
(b) Whenever any subpoena duces tecum shall be issued to the
Chairman, or to any of the members of the Commission, or to the
Secretary of the Commission, for the production in any proceeding
in court of a copy or photostat of the books, papers, entries, records
or proceedings of the Commission, it shall not be necessary for the
Chairman, member or Secretary to whom the subpoena is issued to
appear personally, provided an employee of the Commission appears
in the court in answer to the subpoena with a copy or photostat of
the books, papers, entries, records or proceedings of the Commission.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(House Bill 530)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 326 (v) and 326 (w) of Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement), title "Revenue
and Taxes," subtitle "Retail Sales Tax Act," and to enact in lieu
thereof new Sections 326 (v) and 326 (w) to stand in the place
of the sections so repealed AND TO ADD A NEW SECTION
326 (W-1) TO SAID ARTICLE 81, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY
AFTER SECTION 326 (W) THEREOF, amending the laws con-
cerning exemptions under the State Sales Tax Act with particular
respect to volunteer fire companies, ambulance companies, rescue
squads, BONA FIDE CHURCH OR RELIGIOUS ORGANIZA-
TIONS and certain veteran's organizations.
