CHAPTER 724
(House Bill 135)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 6(c)
and (d) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962
Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Civil Juris-
diction," to increase the civil jurisdiction of the trial magistrates
in Frederick County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 6(c) and (d) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1962 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," sub-
title "Civil Jurisdiction," be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(c) In all cases of the types mentioned in subsection (a) of this
section which involve amounts not exceeding $300.00, trial magis-
trates of [Frederick and Garrett counties] Garrett County shall
have civil jurisdiction.
(d) Trial magistrates of Allegany, Cecil, Charles, Washington,
Wicomico and Queen Anne's counties shall have civil jurisdiction
in all cases hereinbefore mentioned in this section instituted after
June 1, 1959, in Allegany County, after June 1, 1955 in Cecil County,
after June 1, 1951, in Charles County, after June 1, 1953, in Wash-
ington and Wicomico counties, and after June 1, 1959, in Queen
Anne's county, and after June 1, 1963, in Frederick County and in-
volving amounts not exceeding five hundred dollars, except that in
Cecil County cases involving in excess of $100.00 may be tried only
before the trial magistrate who sits in Elkton.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to add new Section 11-7.1 to the Baltimore County Code
(1958 Edition, being Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Baltimore County," subtitle "Title 11. Finance
and Taxation Generally," subheading "Article I. In General," to
follow immediately after Section 11-7 thereof, to authorize an
exemption from A CREDIT AGAINST THE assessment and taxa-
tion in Baltimore County for certain aged persons and relating
generally to such exemption CREDIT.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 11-7.1 be and it is hereby added to the Baltimore
County Code (1958 Edition, being Article 3 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore County," subtitle "Title
