to another subdivision road, and widening of existing platted or
public roads abutting the subdivision where such widening is neces-
sary in order to provide additional right of way adequate to serve
additional traffic to be created by the subdivision but in such case
no more dedication may be required than will produce a total right
of way for a secondary road, as defined by the duly adopted Road
Code, if any,
OR BY THE APPROPRIATE COUNTY ORDINANCE
OR REGULATION or for a primary road if an existing and duly
adopted master plan of highways of the Commission designates such
road as a primary or arterial road. In no case whatsoever shall ded-
ication of a width wider than that for a primary road be required,
and no more than that necessary for a secondary road unless an exist-
ing and duly adopted master plan of the Commission designates the
road as a primary or arterial road.
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT
IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY THE SAID MASTER PLAN OF
HIGHWAYS IS APPROVED BY THE DISTRICT COUNCIL.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 630
(House Bill 669)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 78 (a) of
Chapter 780 of the Acts of 1959, this Act having enacted the sub-
title "Park and Planning Commission," having added this subtitle
to the Montgomery County Code (1955 Edition), being Article 16
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, and having also
added this subtitle to the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1953 Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, said Section 78 (a) being in the
subheading "Regional District," relating to the time in which the
Park and Planning Commission recommendations on zoning appli-
cations shall be submitted to the District Council, CREATING A
NEW SUB-SECTION, (B), RELATING TO PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY PLANNING BOARD PROCEDURE ON ZONING MAP
AMENDMENTS, AND RE-LETTERING SUB-SECTIONS (B)
AND (C) OF SAID SECTION SO THAT THEY BECOME SUB-
SECTIONS (C) AND (D) RESPECTIVELY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 78 (a) of Chapter 780 of the Acts of 1959, this Act
having enacted the subtitle "Park and Planning Commission," hav-
ing added this subtitle to the Montgomery County Code (1955 Edi-
tion), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
and having also added this subtitle to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1953 Edition), being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, said Section 78 (a) being
in the subheading "Regional District," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:
