AND THE TRIAL MAGISTRATE OF THE COUNTY MAY DES-
IGNATE THOSE JUSTICES OF THE PEACE WHO ARE TO
PERFORM ADDITIONAL DUTIES PR WHO ARE TO ACT FOR
THE COMMITTING MAGISTRATES WHO SHALL EACH RE-
CEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF $1,000.00. IN CHARLES
COUNTY, JUSTICES OF THE PEACE SHALL RECEIVE AN-
NUAL SALARIES OF $600.00 EACH, EXCEPT THAT THE JUS-
TICE OF THE PEACE APPOINTED TO SIT IN LA PLATA AND
WALDORF SHALL EACH RECEIVE ANNUAL SALARIES OF
$1,000.00. THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE APPOINTED TO SIT
IN LA PLATA SHALL BE APPOINTED TO SIT AS A SUBSTI-
TUTE COMMITTING MAGISTRATE IN LA PLATA WHEN-
EVER NECESSARY AND SHALL RECEIVE, IN ADDITION TO
HIS ANNUAL SALARY, THE COMPENSATION PROVIDED IN
SUBSECTION (C) OF SECTION 97B OF THIS ARTICLE.
112. (B) IN CHARLES COUNTY, CLERICAL ASSISTANTS
SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE TRIAL MAGISTRATE OF
SAID COUNTY, AND SHALL, ON AND AFTER JULY 1, 1963,
RECEIVE ANNUAL COMPENSATION OF NOT LESS THAN
$3,000.00 AND NOT MORE THAN $4,000.00.

Every trial magistrate shall on the second Monday of each month
file with the county commissioners a report in writing, under oath,
of all cases civil and criminal, heard or tried before him during the
preceding months, which report shall state in each case the names of
the parties, the nature of the case or the offense charged, the number
of witnesses summoned, the name of the officer serving the warrant
and summons, the judgment rendered, and the amount of the fine,
penalty or forfeiture, fees and costs imposed and collected; and
he shall at the time of making his report pay over to the county
commissioners all such fines, penalties, forfeitures, fees and costs
stated in his said report, except in motor vehicle cases, for which
provision is made in Section 107. [In Charles County the books of
the trial magistrate shall be audited annually, copies of which shall
be submitted to the County Commissioners for publication in local
newspapers.}
Failure of a trial magistrate to make reports to the county com-
missioners and to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles of all cases
instituted before or tried by him and the disposition thereof as
required by this sub-title and failure to remit promptly all moneys
herein required to be remitted to the county commissioners and the
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, shall be deemed a violation of this
sub-title.
122A. (a) In Charles County the books of the trial magistrate
shall be audited annually, copies of which shall be submitted to the
County Commissioners for publication in local newspapers.
(b) The trial magistrate shall promptly after trial, on suitable
forms, send a notice of every criminal case tried by him, and the
deposition of the case, to the sheriff of the county.
(c) (B) The sheriff of the county and deputy sheriff of the county
shall have the duty of maintaining peace, order and decorum in the
trial magistrate's court and the room or office of the committing
magistrates, and the sheriff or his deputies shall arrest any person
