By this Publick Instrument of Procuracon or
Letter of Attorney Be it knowne & maifest unto all people
that on the seaven & Twentyth day of Janry Anno Dom
1701 & in the thirteenth year of the Reigne of
William the third King of England &ca Before me
William Scorcy Notary Publick admitted & sworn and
dwelling in London, and in the pr’sence of the wittnesses
after named, Personally appeard Mr Perregrine Browne
of London affsd Merchant and hath made, ordaind,
and Constitute Mr Giles Bond of Chester River in Maryld
merchant his True & Lawfull Attorney, Giving unto
him full power and authority ffor & in the name &
to the use of the sd Constitt [illegible] also Demand, Sue for,
Recover & Receive all & singuler such sume & sumes
of Money, Goods, Waires, Merchandizes Tobaccoes &
things whatsoever, as are or shall be due, oweing
and belonging to the sd Constitt by or from any
p’son or p’sons whatsoever in Maryland Virginia
or Elsewhere in America togeather wth all Costs
Damages, & Interests, allso touching the p’mises, to
accot Compromise, Conclude & agree as occasion shall
Require Upon Recoverys & Receipts to make, and
give, due & suffitient acquittances & discharges, and
(if needfull) to appear in any court or courts
convenient, & to pursue, Implead, seize, sequester
attach arrest, Imprison & to condemn, & out of
prison againe (when need) shall be) to Deliver
Cum facullate Substituendi and generally in and
concerning the p’mises and the Dependencyes to do,
Say, Transact and accomplish whatsoever the
sd Constt himselfe might or could doe p’sonally [he]
hereby promiseing to hold & Ratifie for good and
valid whatsoever his sd attorn or his substitutes
shall Lawfully Do or cause to be Done in the p’mises
by vertue hereof, In Wittness Whereof the sd Constit
hath hereunto put his hand & Seale in the p’sence of
