His Lordship    Kent County fst Be
agt    it remembered that on the
Joseph Thomas    Eighth day of August Anno
Domini 1738 Personally Appeared Joseph Thomas and
Thomas Bordley before me the Subscriber One of his
Lordships Justices of the Peace for the afd County and
Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship
the Right honourable the Lord propry of Maryland
in the sum of fifty pounds Current money of the province
afd to be made and Leveyed on their bodys goods and
Chattles Lands and Tenements for the Use of his said
Lordship his heirs and Successors With Condition
to this recognizance that Joseph Thomas do make
his Personall Appearance before the Justices of
Our next County Court to be held at Our Court house
in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday
Instant August Then and there to Answer to such
things as Shall be Objected against him on behalf
of his Lordship on Suspition of Stealing from
Harfard Farmer One Neck lase Then this Recoge.
to be Void Else to remain in full force in Law
