Same County with thirty nine lashes well laid on upon the
bare back of him the same John Street and the blood to Appear
And it is Commanded to the sher. afd that he do Execution thereof
upon him the said John Street Immediately at his perrill &ca.
And it is further Considered that the said John Street do
pay unto the afd Dunkan the sum of Six Shillings currant
money being the half of the four fold of the Value of the goods
afd so as afd Stolen It is further Considered by the same
Court here that the afd John Street pay the sum of Eight hundred
thirty & nine pounds of tobacco each Accrueing on the premisses
afd to the Severall Officers of this Court
And now here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court
house in the Town of Chester in said County on the day and
Year afd last mentioned cometh Simon Wilmer Gent. sher. of the
County afd and makes return that he hath Executed the
punishment in the Judgment afd Specified as by the same
Court he was Commanded And have the same John here
before the Court
Att Which said day & year at Kent County Court afd
cometh the afd John & prayeth that his & his Suretys
recognizance taken as afd may be Discharged
Ordered by this Court here that John Street & William
Taylor their recognizances taken as afd be Discharged
as prayed                  John Street & Wm. Taylor
their recognizances taken as afd is by this Court here
Discharged there being no cause Shewn to the
Contrary                           Jams Smith Clk

agt    remembered that on the
Samuel Edwards    day of            Anno Dom. 1739
personally Appeared Samuel Edwards & Charles Smith
before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices
