Denmore of Kent County personally Appeared before Us two the Subscriber for the afd County on the eight day of May Anno Dom. seventeen hundred thirty & nine and Acknowledged themselves to be Indebt: :ed unto his Lordship the Lord propry of Mary;and Matthew Kenner in the sum of twenty pounds currt. money James Moore and Salathiel Denmore in the sum of ten pounds like money each to be made and Leveyed on their bodys goods and Chattels Lands and Tenements for the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors With Condition to this recognizance that Matthew Kennar afd makes his personall Appearance before the Justices of Our next County Court to be held at Our Court house in Chester Town in the County afd on the third tuesday in June next Ensueing Then and there to give what he knows in Evidence Concerning a Certain John Mullen's feloniously takeing a Shallop the proper goods of the said Kennar Then this recognizance to be Void and of no Effect otherwise to remain in full force power and Virtue in Law John Brown Thos. Williams junr. The afd Matthew Kennar being Sworn to the Grand against the afd John Mullen upon Which the Jurors afd returns the fol.
