202 Kent County fst Be it remembered that on the 23d. Day of MarchAnno Dom. 1739 personally Appeared Nathaniel Palmer & Walter Dougherty before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the peace for the afd County and Acknowledged themselves to be Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord propry of the province of Maryland in the sum of ten pounds current money each to be made & Leveyed on their bodys goods and chattels Lands and Tenements for the Use of his said Lordship his heirs & Successors With Condition to this recognizance that Margarett Keff makes her personall Appearance before the Justices of Our next County Court to be held at the Court house in Chester Town the third tuesday of June then next Ensueing Then and there to give Evidence in behalf of his Lordship against the afd Thomas Travick Then this Recognizance to be Void Else to remain in full force in Law Thos. Williams junr. The afd Evidences being Sworn to the grand Jury Upon which they return the following Indictment Kent County fst The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord propry that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that Thomas Travick late of said County labourer on the first day of May Anno Dom. seventeen hundred and thirty and nine with force and Arms at the County afd One mans Shirt made of Linnen of the Value of fifty pounds of tobacco of the goods and chattels of a Certain Hugh ONeil then and there being found then and there feloniously Stole took and bore away agst. the peace of the said Lord propry his good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case made & provided &c J George On the Back of the afd Indictment was Indorsed as fol. Vizt Billa Vera Jams. Ringgold forem.
