the said Lord Propry. his said Justices of the peace for the
same County Court and for the same Lord Propry. doth give the
same Justices here to understand and be Informed that Edwd.
Williams late of Upper South Sassafrass hundred in the County
afd planter otherwise called Edward Williams of Queen Anns
County planter the nineteenth day of June Anno Dom. seventeen
hundred thirty & Seven was possessed of a house in the same
hundred and within the Jurisdiction of the same Court and
then and there was the Master of a Family in the same
house resideing in which family John Watkins a Taxable
person above the Age of Fif Sixteen years then and there
was and that William Simcocks Constable of the Same
hundred duely Authorized and Quallified the same nineteenth
day of June did repair in person to the same house to
require of the same Edward a true list from under his hand
distinctly nameing all the Taxable persons which he had
in his said family then Resideing And the said Attorney doth
further give the Court here to understand and be Informed
that at the time of the said William his repairing to the
house afd he the said Edward was Absent from his said
house Nevertheless the same Edward his duty int his part
not regarding did not at the same house leave any list or Acct.
under his hand of any Taxable person or persons in the said
house or family resideing but the same to do did altogether
neglect and refuse Contrary to the form of the Act of Assembly
Entituled an Act for Appointing of Constables and what relates
to their Office and Ascertaining what persons are Taxables
Wherefore the same Attorney of the same Lord proprr. for the
Same Lord Proprry. prayeth the Advice of the Court here in the
premisses and that due process of Law in this part against
the afd Edward may be made to Answer unto the said Lord
Propry. of and upon the premisses &ca.
