Lordship    Kent County fst The Jurors for
agt    the right honourable the Lord propry
Bowles Green    that now is for the body of Kent County
Upon their Oath do present that Bowles Green late
of Kent County plantr. the first day of March Anno
Dom. Seventeen hundred & thirty eight with force & Arms
at the County afd Six Tame Geese of the price of twenty
pounds of tobacco Each Goose of the goods & Chattels of
a Certain Nathaniel Cowley then and there being found
then and there feloniously Stole took & bore away
against the peace &c And against the form of the Act
of Assembly in Such case made and Provided       J George
On the Back of the afd Indictmt. was Endors't as fol. Vizt A True Bill Chrisr Hall
And at Kent County Court at the Court house in the Town
of Chester in said County on the the third tuesday of March
being the twentyeth day of Said month in the year of Our Lord
Seventeen hundred thirty &eight cometh the afd Lord propry by
Joshua George his Attorney And prayeth that the afd
Bowles Green to the Action afd may Answer
And the afd Bowles Green in his proper person comes &
defends the force and Injury when &c and saith that he is in
no Sort Guilty of the premisses afd above upon him Imposed
as by the Indictment afd it is alledged and thereof he putteth
himself upon the Country &c       Bowles Green in pr. prSona
And he who followeth for the Lord propry in like manner
saith he is guilty                           J George
Thereupon Command was given to the sherriff of
Kent County that he Immediately cause to come her
twelve &ca. by whom &c who neither &ca. To recognize
&ca. because as well &c of which said precept the said
