On the Back of the afd Indictmt. was Indorsed as fol. Vizt
                                                    Billa Vera Chrr Hall
And now here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court house in
the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of March
being the twentyeth day of said month in the year of Our Lord God One
thousand Seven hundred thirty & eight Cometh the afd Lord propry by
Josa. George his Attorney and prayeth that the afd Elizth Pool to
to the Indictmt. afd may Answer            And the afd Elizth Pooll
in her proper person comes and defends the force & injury when
&c And saith that she cannot gainsay the Indictmt. afd so as afd agst.
her brought nor but that she is guilty of the premisses afd above upon
her Imposed as by the Indictmt. afd it is Alledged and thereof Sub:
:mitts herself to the Court &c Therefore it is Considered by the
Justices here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court house in the Town
of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of March being the twen:
:tyeth day of said month in the year of Our Lord God One thousand
seven hundred thirty & Eight That the afd Elizth pay the sum of
thirty shillings Currt. money of Maryld as a fine According to Act
of Assembly &c for Committing the Offence afd Also it is Considered
at the time and place afd that the said Elizth pay the sum of
                                                    pounds of tobacco Costs Accrueing
on the premisses afd to the Severall Officers of this Court &c
Ordered by this Court that the fine afd be delivered the sher. of Kent
County and Simon Wilmer Gent. sher. of Kent County being prSent
here in Court Acknowledgeth the receipt of the Same &c
Ordered by this Court here that the afd Elizth Pool give Security
for the Fees Accrueing on the premisses afd to the Severall
Officers of this Court &c Thereupon Capn. John Harvie of
Chester Town comes into Court in his proper person And
Assumes the Payment of the Fees afd &c       Jams Smith Clk

His Lordship    Ordered by this Court here that the
agt    afd Wm. Graves enter into Recoge. With
Wm. Graves    Security for his Appe. and good behavour
           June
to next March ^ Court to be held at the Court house in Chester Town
in Kent County on the third tuesday of said month &c
Thereupon William Graves and Richd Gresham of Kent
County Gentn. and present here in Court Acknowledgeth themselves
to be Indebted unto his Lordship the right honrble the Lord propry
of Maryland in the sum of twenty pounds Currt. money of the
province afd to be made and Leveyed on their bodys goods &
Chattles Lands and Tenements for the Use of his said Lordship
his heirs & Successors With Condition to this Recoge. that the
afd William Graves makes his personall Appearance
before the Justices of Our next County Court to be held
