ACADEMIES, COLLEGES, &c—

A bill from the Senate, entitled an act tor the en-
dowment of the Baltimore Female College, 486;
bill rejected, 578.

A bill from the Senate, entitled an act to preserve
the existence of the St. Mary's Female Seminary,
539; bill passed and returned to the Senate, 550.

Resolution offered, that the Governor be requested
to furnish to Andrew F. Baker, President of Calvert
College, at New Windsor in Carroll county, forty
rifles and all necessary accoutrements, including side
arms, for the use of the students at said College, 608.

ACTS OP ASSEMBLY—A bill from the Senate, entitled an
act to repeal the ninth section of the act of 1751, 476.

ADJUTANT GENERAL—Order offered requesting the Gover-
nor to authorise the, to grant the use of forty muskets
to the students of St. Timothy's Hall, Catonsville,
Maryland, for instructions in Military Drill, 36; order
amended and adopted, 56.

Order adopted that the, direct the national flag to
be raised and the usual salute fired at the hour of In-
auguration of the Hon. Thomas H. Hicks, as Gov-
ernor of the State, 49.

Communication from the, 54.

Resolution offered that the, furnish to the Presi-
dent and Faculty of St. John's College seventy-five
cadets muskets, &c, 66.

Order adopted that three hundred copies of report
of the, be printed, 70.

Order adopted, that the Governor be requested to
have the national flag displayed at half-mast, as a
testimony of respect to the memory of the late Adju-
tant General, John Wilmot, who departed this life on
yesterday, the 4th of March, 1858; and that the Com-
mittee on Claims be directed to provide for the pay-
ment of the funeral expenses of said deceased, 794.

Order adopted, that the House attend the funeral of
the late, 839, 840.

AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE—A bill from the Senate, entit-
tled an act amendatory of an act to establish and
endow an Agricultural College in Maryland, 464 ;
