The proceedings of yesterday were read.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills:
A bill entitled, an act to change the present bridge across
the Pocomoke river at the town of Snow Hill, in Worcester
county, to a pivot or draw-bridge;
Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments;"
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED:
Sec. 1, line 6, after the word "first," add "provided that
said pivot or draw-bridge does not cost more than $500;
Sec. 2, line 6, after the word "draw," add "provided that
no part of said money shall be expended until the proposed
work shall have been contracted for by some competent person;
