The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
The Senate bill entitled, an act for the protection of certain
game in the several counties therein mentioned;
Being on its second reading,
Mr. McKinstry proposed the following amendment:
"Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That if any tavern or restau-
rant keeper, market man or any other person in this State,
shall expose for sale or have in his possession any partridge,
quail, woodcock or pheasant, at any time between the times
in which the killing of such birds is declared unlawful by this
act, he, she or they shall be considered equally as guilty as
if he, she or they had killed or trapped the same, and shall
be liable to all the penalties incurred by a violation of the
provisions of this act, and the having in possession any such
bird or birds shall be prima facie evidence of their having
been killed in Maryland contrary to the provisions of this
act.

Mr. Morgan proposed the following amendment:
"That St. Mary's, Somerset, Cecil, Queen Anne's and
Dorchester counties be included in the provisions of this bill;"
