Mr. Goldsborough called the previous question on the pas-
sage of the bill;

Which was not sustained.

Mr. Stirling moved that the further consideration of the
bill be postponed until to-morrow;

Which was determined in the affirmative.
On motion, the House adjourned.

SATURDAY, March 6th, 1858.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by Rev. Mr.
Graff.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members ;

Messrs. Berry, Speaker, Neale, Wickes, Meginnis, Tongue,
Mackubin, Kilbourn, Griffiss, Magruder, Burgess, Stone-
street, Walker, Allender. Ford, of Baltimore county, Golds-
borough, Waller, Tilghman, Dail, Grieves, Davis, Ford of
Cecil, Kidd, Belt, Wyville, Sudler, of Queen Anne's, Land-
ing, Spence, Hearn, Thomas, Harding, Bowlus, Root, Koons,
Hanway, Bacon, Baker, Todd, McGonigal, McPherson,
Smith, of Baltimore city, Kennard, Harrington, Crowley,
Forrest, Alexander, Rohrer, Gray, Schnebly, Riddlemoser,
Duvall, Worthington, Thruston, Mountz, McKinstry, Rein-
dollar, Day, Welling, Dorsey.

The proceedings of Saturday were read.

Mr. Dail offered the following order:

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that George
W. Carroll, postmaster, is absent on account of indisposi-
tion.

Which was adopted.
