The Senate bill entitled, an act to enlarge the powers of the
president and commissioners of the town of Port Deposit,
Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Kidd proposed to strike out the following amendment:

Add at the end of section 10, "provided that no special
levy or assessment by said president and commissioners, upon
any land owner or owners, shall be lawful in any case, where
the damages to said land owner or owners, have been first de-
termined by a jury under any of the provisions of this act;

"Which was assented to.

The said bill was then read the second and third times, and
passed by yeas and nays, as follow :

The Senate bill entitled, an act to make judgment of jus-
tices of the peace liens upon real estate, and to provide for the
issue of execution upon the same ;

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Wickes proposed the following amendment:

Section . 6 And be it enacted, That all liens provided for
in this act, shall cease after three years from the date of such
judgment ;

Which was assented to.
