for the bill to be read throughout;

Which was adopted.

The bill entitled, an act to authorise the Commissioners of
St. Mary's county to close the public landing at Queen Tree,
in said county, and to condemn a new landing near the same,
and to change the road thereto;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to repeal the 1st section of the act
entitled, an act relating to the practise in Baltimore County
Court, in certain cases, passed at December session, 1844,
chapter 5;

Being upon its second reading,

Mr, Stirling proposed the following amendment:

Sec. 1, line 4, after the word "five," "which allows par-
ties to suits to continue them by consent;"
Which was assented to; and

The bill as amended, read a second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to enable John Beale and George
A. Pearre, trustees of the Mineral Bank of Maryland to wind
up and close their trust as expeditiously as may be, and to
protect them in so doing ;

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Thruston proposed the following amendment:

Strike out 3rd and 4th section, and insert section 3 ;

Section 3rd. And be it further enacted, that after the ex-
piration of the times, to be limited by the order of said court,
under the first section of this act, and after the court shall be
satisfied that the notice to the creditors directed by the order
of the court, for that purpose shall have' been given in the
manner prescribed by the order limiting such times, the said
court is hereby authorised to order and direct distribu-
tion by said trustees of all assets in land, after deducting the
dividends of twenty-five per cent already declared by said
trustees, amongst all the creditors who shall have filed their
claims, at any time before the said court's order of distribu-
tion, and so from time to time to order and direct the distri-
bution in the same manner of the assets in the hands of said
trustees, until such assets shall have been fully distributed,
and that any creditor failing or neglecting to file his claim
within the times limited by the order of the court for the filing
of claims, but who shall afterwards file the same, at any time
before a distribution of the entire assets shall be entitled only
