Mr. Grieves from a select committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, an act to authorise the trustees of the Primary
School at Federalsburg in Caroline county, to sell the School
House in said District and to divide the proceeds of such sale
between Dorchester and Caroline counties ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Grieves from the committee on Colored Population re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to authorise and
empower Andrew Moore, free negro of Talbot county, to hold
and devise his real estate by last will and testament ;

Which was read the first time.

On motion of Mr. Ford, of Baltimore county,
The rules were suspended, and
He proposed the following message :

By the House of Delegates,

February 24th, 1858.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully request your Honorable body to return to
this House a bill entitled, an act for the relief of the heirs and
personal representatives of Joshua M. Turner, late of Balti-
more city, deceased, which bill passed this last evening.
