Mr. Burgess, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act for the relief of Marcus Moore, of
Charles county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Worthington, from a select committee, reported favor-
ably on a bill entitled, an act to amend an act passed at
December session, 1849, chapter 358, entitled, an act to in-
corporate the Union Plank Road and Turnpike Company;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Rogers, from a select committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, an act to provide for the recording, indexing
and binding of the cases and proceedings of the late High
Court of Chancery;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Hearn, from a select committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, a supplement to an act entitled, an act for the
better protection of Steven's Ferry, passed at December ses-
sion, 1844;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Baker, from a select committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, an act to authorise the Commissioners of Har-
ford county, to sell their present Poorhouse Farm and pur-
chase another, and to erect a suitable building for the use of
the paupers of said county ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Day, from a select committee, reported favorably on a
bill entitled, an act to authorise the opening of a road in Car-
roll and Howard counties ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Grieves, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to change the place of holding elec-
tions in the Sixth Election District of Dorchester county ;

On motion of Mr. McGonigal,
The rules were suspended, and,

The bill entitled, an act for the relief of the trustees of
John Thawley, former Collector of State tax of Caroline
county ;

Was read the second and third times, by special order,
three fourths of all the members concurring, and passed by
yeas and nays, as follow ;
