The bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Village of Port
Tobacco, in Charles county, was read the second time, and

Being upon its third reading;

Mr. Burgess, by unanimous consent, moved to amend the

2d section, line 4, by striking out " first Monday in June"
and inserting "third Monday in April;" also, the

17th section, line 2, by striking out the word "May," and
inserting "April;"

Which amendments were assented to, and the bill as amen-
ded, passed by yeas and nays, as follow:
