JOURNAL.

WEDNESDAY, January 6, 1858.
State of Maryland, to wit:

This being the day prescribed by the Constitution for the meet-
ing of the General Assembly of Maryland, the members of the
House of Delegates convened in their Chamber at the hour of
twelve o'clock, noon.

One of the Clerks of the late House of Delegates proceeded to
call the roll, when the following members answered to their
names:

St. Mary's County—George H. Morgan and Robert Neale.

Kent County—C. H. Wickes and N. Meginnis.

Anne Arundel—Benjamin Tongue, Richard C. Mackubin and
E. G. Kilbourne.

Calvert County—Daniel R. Magruder and Joseph Griffiss.

Charles County—F. B. F. Burgess and Nicholas Stonestreet.

Baltimore County—Joseph Walker, Walter T. Allender, John
S. Berry, John T. Ford, Andrew A. Lynch and W. Hamilton
Smith.

Talbot County—H. H. Goldsborough.

Somerset County—Robert J. Waller, Thomas B. Moore,
John S. Sudler and James Tilghman.

Dorchester County—John W. Dail, Levin Richardson and
Horatio G. Grieves.

Cecil County—James A. Davis and Milton Y. Kidd.

Prince George's County—Edward W. Belt, Edward H. Wyville
and John Contee.

Queen Anne's County—R. T. Larrimore and J. W. E. Sudler.
Worcester County—J. L. Hearn, Irving Spence and George
W. Landing.

Frederick County—John B. Thomas, Oliver P. Harding, Ste-
phen R. Bowlus, Jacob Root, John A. Koons and Ulysses Hobbs.
