By the House of Delegates,

February, 2, 1858.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose with the concurrence of your hon-
orable body, to proceed to the election of State Treasurer to-
morrow at 2 o'clock, P. M., and we have on the part of the
House, nominated Dennis Claude, for that office.

Also, immediately thereafter, we propose to proceed to the
election of keeper of the records of the Court of Chancery, and
we have on the part of the House, nominated Lemuel Jones,
for that office;

Also, two directors on the part of the State in the Easton
Bank of Maryland, and we have nominated therefor, John H.
Harris and Purnell Toadvine ;

Also, two directors on the part of the State, in the Mechan-
ics Bank of Baltimore, and we have nominated therefor, Tru-
man Belt and Samuel Duer ;

Also, two directors on the part of the State, in the Hagers-
town Bank, and we have nominated therefor, Frederick D.
Herbert and Thomas G. Robertson ;

Also, one Director on the part of the State, in the Farmers'
Bank of Maryland, and we have nominated therefor, Rignal
D. Woodward.

We have appointed Messrs. Magruder and Goldsborough,
tellers on the part of the House, to join such gentlemen as may
be named on the part of the Senate, to count the ballots to be
cast in the several above proposed elections, and report the
result.

entitled, an act amendatory of an act passed January session

1854, entitled, an act for the relief of the sureties an the bond

of William Lyles, of Thos., collector of the 3rd collection.

Favorably upon a bill entitled, an act to amend and explain
an act passed at January session, 1856, chapter 49, entitled,
