A resolution passed by the General Assembly of Maryland, at
November session, 1811, directing the form and manner
in which the Laws and Votes and Proceedings shall be
printed.
(PASSED NOV. 19, 1811.)
Resolved, That hereafter, the acts and resolutions, and the votes
and proceedings of the General Assembly, be printed on paper of
the size of that usually called royal octavo; that the day on which a
law shall have passed, be noted in the margin opposite to its title,
and that the day on which any resolution published with the laws
shall have been finally assented to, be also noted; that a short mar-
ginal abstract be given of each clause of an act as heretofore; and
that as often as the acts and resolutions printed shall be sufficient to
make a separate volume, (provided there be comprised in one volume,
the acts and resolutions of four different sessions of the General As-
sembly at least,) a table or index shall also be printed of the con-
tents of that volume, together with a suitable title page; which said
index shall be made by such person or persons whom the governor
and council may think proper to employ from time to time for that
purpose; who shall be paid such reasonable compensation therefor,
as the General Assembly shall think proper to allow.
