By request of Mr. Denison, of Baltimore city,

Mr. Landing withdrew his motion.

Mr. Medders renewed it;                                     

When it was decided in the negative.

The report was then read.                                               

Mr. Dennis, of Somerset, called for the reading of the
papers in the Baltimore city contested election case.           

The yeas and nays being demanded,                      

The call of the roll was proceeded with,                         

When Mr. Krafft's name was called, he voted in the affir-
mative.

Mr. Gordon rose to a point of order:                     

As the members from Baltimore city were parties interested,
they were not entitled to vote, and moved that they be pre-
cluded from that privilege.                 

The Speaker decided that the delegates from Baltimore
city, were immediately and specially interested in the result,
and therefore were not entitled to vote on the motion.

Mr. Dennis, of Somerset, appealed from the decision of the

Chair.                                                                               

Mr. Compton moved to lay the appeal upon the table.
Mr. Dennis, of Somerset, moved a call of the House;
Pending the call of the roll,

Mr. Briscoe moved that all further proceedings under the
call be dispensed with;                                                     

The yeas and nays were ordered, and appeared as follow:
