784              JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS | March 7.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Kent
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 29th article of the code
of public general laws, relating to justices of the peace, by
adding thereto the .following sections, making judgments of
a justice of the peace a lien on lands, from the time a copy
thereof shall be filed in the office of the clerk of the Circuit
court or court of Common Pleas;

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on the Judiciary;

A bill entitled, an act to correct the clerical errors upon
the reprint of the code;

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the commissioners of
Washington and the mayor and city council of Baltimore to
subscribe to the capital stock or endorse the bonds of the
Washington County Railroad company;

Severally endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays."
Which were severally read the first time.

A bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from Joseph
Trimble and William C. Haveland, trustees, to Rebecca
Smith;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on the Judiciary.

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to endorse the bonds of the Northern
Central Railway company;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Balti-
more city delegation.

A bill entitled, an act. to amend the 5th article of the code
of public general laws, by adding thereto the following sec-
tions regulating the practice of the Court of Appeals on bills
of exception, and giving a bill of exception on indictments
for nuisances;

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on the Judiciary.
