The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
The bill entitled, an act further carrying out the provisions
of the 19th section of article four of the Constitution, by add-
ing a new section to the 74th article of the code of public
general laws, by authorizing the removal of causes from the
several courts of Baltimore city ;
Being upon its second reading ;
Mr. Welch proposed the following amendment:
Strike out all after the word "discretion," in line eleven, to
the word "county," in line 155, inclusive, and insert the words,
" to the Circuit court of any county in the State ;"
Which was rejected.
Mr. Ford proposed the following amendment:
Add at the end of the 6th section, "provided that said com-
pensation shall not exceed the sum of thirty dollars ;"
