The bill entitled, an act to amend the 12th article of the
code of public local laws, by repealing the 92d and 111th sec-
ions relating to printing, and substitute the following;

Was read the second time, and by special order a third

The said bill was then sent to the Senate.

The Senate bill entitled, an act entitled, a supplement to
an act passed at January session, 1856, chap. 50, entitled,
an act amendatory of an act entitled, an act to incorporate
the Maryland and Delaware Railroad company, passed at
January session, 1854, chap. 274, granting extensions of said
railroad and other privileges,

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Goldsborough proposed the following amendment:

Section 4. And be it enacted, That the said company shall
have the right to construct a line or lines of wires of tele-
graph on any routes over which by their charter they have
the right to construct a railroad, and for that purpose shall
be entitled to the benefit, of all the provisions contained in
the twenty-sixth article of the code of public general laws
from section 102 to section 121, inclusive, or so much of said
provisions as may be applicable thereto;

Which was concurred in.

Also, the following amendment:
