Mr. Ford offered the following:

Ordered, That the forty-sixth rule be and is hereby re-
scinded, and the following be inserted in its place: "All bills
reported to this house by a committee, shall be printed in bill
form ;"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Beall offered the following:                                   

Ordered, That this House meet at 10 o'clock, A. M., ex-
cept on Mondays, sit until 2 P. M.,, adjourn to meet again at
3½ o'clock; sit until 6 o'clock, P. M.; adjourn to meet again
at 7½ o'clock, P. M. No other than local bills shall be taken
up after 3½ o'clock, P. M., unless no local bills shall be pre-
sented for the action of this House, and that, each delegation
shall be entitled to call up as many bills as there are mem-
bers in said delegation. This order shall only be in force on
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays ;

Which, on motion, was laid over until Monday.

Mr. Goldsborough, chairman of the committee on Corpora-
tions, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incor-
porate the Maryland inebriate Asylum, and to provide for
taking care of the persons and estates of habitual drunkards;

Which was read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Bayless,

The rules were suspended, and the bill entitled, an act to
amend the code of public general laws, article 95, relating to
weights and measures, by repealing the 18th section of said
article, and substituting the following in lien thereof;

Said bill being upon its second reading;

Mr. McAllister proposed the following amendment:

In section 2, strike out after figure 2, the words "apples

and ;''
