Mr. Maxwell proposed the following amendments:

Strike out the words "twenty-five," in 8th line of section
1st, and insert " thirty-five ;"

Also, in the 12th line of section 1st, strike out the word
"seventy," and insert " sixty."

Mr. McCoy proposed the following as a substitute:

In the 9th line, after the word ''company," insert "fifty
thousand dollars to building Central Railroad company's
bridge across the Susquehanna river ;"

In the 12th line, strike out "seventy," and insert "twen-
ty thousand ;"

Which was not concurred in.

The question then recurring upon the amendment as pro-
posed by Mr. Maxwell ;
It was adopted.

Mr. Kilbourn (Mr. Ford in the chair) moved that the House
do now adjourn;
