466          JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 17,

Mr. Jones, of Talbot, from a select committee, reported
favorably on the bill entitled, an act to amend the 132d sec-
tion of article 20th of the code of public local laws relating
to the town of St. Michael's, and to add the following section
thereto increasing the powers of the commissioners of said
town;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Ford, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Gwynn's Falls and
Reistertown Railroad company;

Which was read the first time and referred to the committee
on Corporations.

Mr. Seth, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act making an appropriation for the
benefit of Mary E. Vernon;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Worthington, from the committee on Roads and High-
ways, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to make
public a road leading from the village of Catonsville, in Bal-
timore county, to the Rolling road, comprising the whole of
the road known as Bloomsbury lane, and the road now lead-
ing from the east of said lane, to the Rolling road;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Ford moved to refer said bill to the committee on the
Judiciary;

Which was not sustained.
On motion of Mr. Krafft,

It was laid on the table.

Mr. Salmon, from a special committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to authorise the trustees of Pri-
mary School District No. 64, in Frederick county, to sell a
school house in said district;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dennis, of Somerset, from a special committee, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to authorise the
commissioners of Somerset county, to establish a ferry at
Shell town, over the Pocomoke river;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Denison, of Baltimore county, from a special commit-
tee, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to extend
the powers of the commissioners of Baltimore county;

Which was read the first time.
