The said bill was then sent to the Semite.

Mr. Ford, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act regulating the per diem of the jurors
and bailiffs of the Circuit court for Baltimore county, and to
repeal and alter sections 118 and 95 of article 3 of the code of
public local laws;

Which was read the first time.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bill:

A bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of money to
pay for the frame illustrating the surrender of General Wash-
ington, of his commission as the commander-in-chief, of the
army of the American Revolution;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the committee
on Claims.

Also, returned the following House bill:

A bill entitled, an act authorising the Treasurer of the
State, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay to Captain
John T. Sinn, a sum of money therein mentioned, for ser-
vices rendered by the United Guards, by order of the Gov-
ernor;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."
On motion of Mr. Brown,

The rules were suspended, and the Senate bill entitled, an
act to amend the 12th article of the code of public local laws
by adding thereto a new section, changing and defining the
bounds of Election District No. 1, of Howard county:

Was read the second time, and by special order a third
time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
