and Means.

Mr. Krafft presented a preamble and resolution, relating
to a bill before the Legislature to increase the number of di-
rectors in the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad company;

Referred to the committee on Internal Improvements.

Mr. Brown presented a memorial from Charles A. Gam-
brill and thirty others, against, the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road company:

Referred to the special committee on that subject.

Mr. Naill presented a petition from Godfrey Koontz, and
sundry other citizens of Frederick county, in relation to the
local trade on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad;

Referred to the special committee on that subject.

Also, a petition from B. C. Flowers, and other citizens of
Frederick county, praying for relief for Elizabeth Smeltz, of
said county;

Also, a petition from Samuel Urner, of Frederick county,
in relation to a tax on dogs;

Which were severally referred to the Frederick county dele-
gation.

Mr. Wilson, of Cecil, presented a petition from Howard
Titus, and other citizens of Cecil county, in relation to chang-
ing boundary line of Election Districts Nos. 3 and 5;

Referred to the Cecil county delegation.

Mr. McAllister presented a petition from S. Owings Hoff-
man and others, to give to the mayor and city council of Bal-
timore the power to build a bridge over Jones' Falls, at
North avenue;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Miller presented a petition from Benjamin F. May and
other citizens of Cecil county, to amend the 83d section of
of the public local laws of said county, relating to the man-
ner of appointing a bailiff for the town of Elkton, in said
county;

Referred to the Cecil county delegation.
