relating to the subject embraced in the order of the House of
Delegates above mentioned.

The Governor further requests that you will, if possible,
send this information by filling up the enclosed blanks ac-
cording to their tenor, and transmit them when filled up,
and embracing the information sought above, accompanied
by a statement of the fees due you for such service.

Which was read, and ordered to be printed on the Jour-
nal.

On motion of Mr. Denison, of Baltimore city,
It was ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that
Mr. Turner, of Baltimore city, is absent from his place in
the House, on account of sickness.
The House took up the unfinished business of yesterday;

Being the consideration of the Senate bill entitled, an act
to compensate the members of the joint committee appointed
by the late legislature, to examine the report of the commis-
sioners to revise and codify the laws;

Said bill being upon its second reading,

Mr. Kessler moved to amend the 1st section, by striking
out the words "one thousand dollars," and inserting "seven
hundred dollars;"

Which was not assented to.

The reading of the bill was then resumed.

Mr. Freaner proposed the following amendment:

In section 2, strike out the word "thousand," and insert
"three hundred;"

Which was lost.

The bill was then read the second time.
On motion of Mr. Miller,

The rules were suspended, the bill read the third time, and
rejected by yeas and nays as follow:
