On motion of Mr. Long,

The committee on Ways and Means was discharged from
the consideration of the bill entitled, a supplement to the act
for the promotion of internal improvements, passed at De-
cember session, 1835, chapter 395; and           

The same referred to a special committee of five, consisting
of Messrs. Goldsborough, Dennis, of Somerset, Miller, Ford
and Krafft.

The bill entitled, an act to appropriate a sum of money for
the redemption and repayment of unused stamps, and to au-
thorise the Comptroller to redeem the same ;

Was read the second time, and by special order a third time,
and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
