The following substitute was then adopted as the title of
the bill:

"An act to amend the twenty-first article of the code of
public local laws, relating to election districts in Washington
county, by adding thereto the following section;"

The said bill was then sent to the Senate.

Mr. Mackubin, from the committee on Claims, reported fa-
vorably on the bill entitled, an act to compensate Otho Scott
and Hiram McCullough, for services rendered as codifiers,
under the acts of January sessions, 1852 and 1853:
